I want it I want it I want it!!!

So we're checking e-mail, and there's a notice from CD Japan. It's their Anime Collectibles Newsmail, and I'm not quite sure how we got put on that list, because we only ever order CDs. It probably has something to do with checking the box next to "anime" when asked what I'm interested in getting notices about when I registered, but for some reason I feel like we only started getting these things a couple of months ago.

Anyway, we never bothered to unsubscribe, because, well, because. And usually when I get them, I just skim through it to see if there's anything of interest, and since it's usually figures, there's not. I like figures, but I have no use for them and no money. And usually they're all fan-servicey and stuff, and we just don't care.

This one had some Final Fantasy stuff, though, so we were kind of laughing to ourselves about the Tifa Rockheart thing (it's cute!) but then I glanced back at the monitor and noticed "Zidane Tribal from FINAL FANTASY IX" and suddenly it became of utmost importance that we click the link. I thought it might be the standard pose he's in in just about every picture you see of Zidane that's not CGI, but this is one of the coolest figures I've ever seen. Of course the use of superlative is because I'm biased. But dude!! He's totally the best figure in that whole group! I want it I want it I want it!!!

Actually, I feel kind of bad being so whiny about Christmas presents this year. On the one hand, I feel like I should count myself lucky that we're not going to be evicted, especially when I think about Katrina. But on the other hand, I'm spoiled. Ah well.

Aurora's in town today, which is happy. It also means that our schedule is potentially going to be insane for the rest of the week. It's a good thing we got that translation turned in today. I really hope I can find time to e-mail Clay.

And today I'm thankful for newsletters, neat Final Fantasy figures (I can at least look at the picture!), warmer weather, happy anime to counteract the stupid depressingness of Shuffle (Rin can be so stupid), and being able to see family.
