We kind of disappeared yesterday, but for a good(?) reason. We were at Disneyland. (Not again!) No, it was pretty fun mostly. We got to go on the Indiana Jones ride, because Athena insisted, because a kid in her Primary class has been coming every (other) week and telling her that they added a new special effect, so of course we had
to check it out. Turns out...they didn't. They did spruce up a few things, though, so maybe he just noticed something he hadn't noticed before. We also compared the number of skeletons in the queue area to the ones in the DisneySea Indiana Jones queue area and there were waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay fewer.
We also saw the revived version of the Royal Theatre Beauty and the Beast show, which is actually different than the original! Instead of having a Lumiere puppet, they had Mr. Jones switch hats to play Lumiere, Cogsworth, and
Mrs. Potts. That part was pretty funny, but the sad part is that, thanks to the Frozen version of the show, the actors seem to have forgotten that audience participation is supposed to be a big thing, so they would keep barging through the lines when we were trying to shout huzzah and fie. We were a little bummed out about that.
On a happier note, we ran into Farley and started talking about Tokyo Disneyland again, so we spent some more time huddled over my camera looking at pictures. And that, my friends, is my segue into it being Photo Phriday! And oh my goodness, you guys, this is an exciting one! Can you feel it? I'm SO excited. Why? Because this
Photo Phriday features our pictures from the A Table Is Waiting show, and much much much more importantly, it has pictures from Sindbad's Storybook Voyage! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!! (Don't feel obligated to fall deeply in love with them. I know a photograph can never truly do justice to the full experience.)
But anyway, without further ado, here
is the link! I hope you enjoy them!
Today I'm thankful for having a lovely time at Disneyland yesterday, making it to Joe's Italian Ice before it closed even though we somehow managed to be stuck in the parking lot at Disneyland for like half an hour (which is weird, because the parking lot is designed to never have traffic jams, and in the fifteen plus years we've used it, it never had before (to our knowledge)), getting to share more pictures with Farley and all our friends, happy memories of our very favorite ride, and getting to order pizza for dinner today.
