Whoosh!

Well, I think we might be ahead of schedule, which gives us just enough time to maybe watch some TV tonight without missing any deadlines. Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration. Our deadlines are blurry enough right now that we'd probably be fine anyway, but the point is, yay for not working until bedtime!

In the meantime, we're in negotiations for one or possibly two new assignments, and it's starting to make us wonder if all the manga translators disappeared or something. It's like all the translators who got into it as something to earn some extra money while still going to school to train for their "real jobs" finally got those real jobs. Either that, or they decided manga and anime were too mainstream and moved on to K-pop like the rest of them.

Or! if we want to make it exciting for us. Maybe we're just in higher demand because now that we won that contest, everybody realizes what awesome translators we are! Ha, ha, ha. (<--Can be interpreted as "ha, I made a funny" OR "ha! I am made of awesome"; take your pick.)

Today I'm thankful for being just a little bit ahead of schedule, Ben & Jerry's Peanut Buttah Cookie Core ice cream, adorable videos of our nephews on Facebook, having pins to trade if we decide we want to trade pins when we go to Disneyland on Thursday, and being in high demand (ideally we're not in too high demand, but it's nice to feel wanted).
