The good news is it looks like we might possibly not miss our Noragami deadline, despite taking time off to work on this other thing. The jury's still out, though. But anyway, there's some pretty intense stuff going on in Noragami right now (where "right now" is a completely arbitrary term meaning "the point in the series where the Twins are currently translating"), and we left Yato in the middle of a fight! Oh well; I'm sure he'll get over it.
The other good news is that we had a great skipper on the Jungle Cruise on Friday. When we were passing by Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye and she called the tourists "wildlife," she told the joke that goes, "Watch out for the little ones. They latch onto you for eighteen to thirty-six years and just suck the life right out of you," she added, "At least, that's what my mom tells me. Every day of my life." And when we went through the hippopotamus pool and she shot into the trees to scare them away, she said, "Good, I scared the ones in the water and got the one in the trees. You didn't see the one in the trees? When you've been here as long as I have...you start to see them in the trees." And she had great timing and delivery. It was nice.
Anyway, speaking of the translation battle, we've had some strange responses. For example, when it got announced on Anime News Network, we read the comments about it, and someone was really excited because we translated Fruits Basket, so hopefully this win will revitalize our career. We were like, "Uh, I don't know about you, but I don't think I can take much more vitality in my career." We're not complaining, of course. We're having a lot of fun right now. But we're also ridiculously busy.
That being the case, it's time for us to get some dinner and finally relax.
Today I'm thankful for having another fun title to work on, it arriving with plenty of time for us to work on it today, having leftover donuts from Gaston's craving on Saturday night, it being warm enough for Page to use her heated cat bed again (yeah, we don't know what's up with that, either; but it's awfully cute!), and having some time to relax tonight.
