Happy New Year!
1st-Jan-2015 03:08 pm
We had been trying to decide whether or not to take the day off today. With all our going around Doing Stuff for the last few weeks, we've been wanting a day to just relax and do non-obligatory things. On the other hand, our Chaika deadline is on Tuesday, and we wanted to go to Disneyland on Monday and take one more shot at getting those cookies that are bound to be gone once all the holiday stuff is.

We thought we could make it all work if we just did the research on the spell languages yesterday, but we tried and it's proving to be a lot harder to find the information we want than we expected, so there's no telling how long it will take to finish this translation. (There's also the mystery of will we be able to find the information we want, or will we be forced to throw our hands in the air and come up with something tekitou and writing a note to the editor. Only time will tell!)

So we still haven't made much progress on figuring out if there is a correct spelling of all those non-Japanese words, let alone what the correct spelling is, and we were thinking we'd do a little research today. But when we woke up, we discovered that the germs were getting the better of us and we had better take the day off to rest up. So that's what we're going to do! Tadah!

Today I'm thankful for having enough room in our schedule that we can take a day off (if anything suffers, it will only be our Disneyland plans), getting to ring in the new year with chilled hot chocolate and warm fuzzy pajamas, a nice relaxing New Year's Day, the option of turning off subtitles at Crunchyroll, and all the fancy holiday dragons in Dragon City.

Let's just say you may be hearing from me a bit more often this year.

That is always a bad thing. I'm personally letting you know that :)

We consider ourselves warned.
