Today's been really busy and we're just about to finally get back to the game, so I'm going to make this short, but here are a few first impressions: Roxas sounds SO YOUNG! I think the contrast to Kouki Uchiyama's current voice is more obvious because we've been hearing him in Barakamon, but oh my goodness, you can barely tell they're the same person, and mostly only when Roxas is yelling. It's kind of adorable, and kind of surreal.
Also, the high-definition music sounds really great. They recently announced that they were going to release the HD ReMix entire soundtrack, for pretty much every KH game except Dream Drop Distance, and we saw the announcement and we were like, "Hmmm, I dunno... We kind of have all the Kingdom Hearts soundtracks... (except Dream Drop Distance...and Chain of Memories come to think of it)." Then we heard the music for 2.5 ReMix and remembered how shiny the remixed music was, and thought, "Yep, we have to get it."
As for today, it was mostly spent watching general conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The talks today were really really good. Elder D. Todd Christofferson said something I really liked. He was talking about moral relativism as opposed to absolute truth, and when I think of that, I usually think of math, so it's like, it doesn't matter what you believe, two plus two will always be four. But he used science, and I like doing that too, because what he said was something like, "Resentment of the law of gravity won't prevent you from falling if you step off a cliff."
And of course there are already memes of great quotes from conference all over Facebook. It's astounding how quickly those get made.
Today I'm thankful for getting to watch two really great sessions of general conference, getting to spend almost all day playing Kingdom Hearts yesterday, finding more cocoa peanuts at the store today, remembering how very much we love Kingdom Hearts II, and it being time to get back to playing it.
