But today! we have plans to go see The Croods! Yay! Normally, the title alone would have us saying, "Um...ew." and staying away, but we need to remind ourselves that you can't judge a book by its cover, especially if that book was directed by Chris Sanders of Lilo & Stitch and How to Train Your Dragon fame. ...I'm starting to think maybe I should bother italicizing movie titles...but...I'm too tired and lazy. You all know where one title ends and the conjunction followed by the next movie title begins, right? Those are pretty famous movies. Famous for being awesome.
Anyway, we haven't seen much by way of trailers or publicity, but the one trailer we saw has us thinking the story is a lot like Gurren-Lagann. We'll find out tonight! Woohoo!
Oh right! Athena and Logan had a brief adventure yesterday. We all went to Mom's house for Family Home Evening, and Athena went into the kitchen to throw away a cookie wrapper, and Logan found her. He may or may not have given her a hug, and then he reached up to indicate he wanted her to carry him. So she picked him up, and he said, "Iun ga!" Everybody knows that means, "I want cat!" so off they went to find a cat.
They found the more agreeable cat in Mom's bedroom, trying to decide whether or not she wanted to hide under the bed. (The other cat has much less patience for toddlers, and was probably long gone by then.) So they said hello to the cat, and Athena asked Logan if he wanted her to put him down so he could try to touch the cat. He nodded. So she put him down, and he looked at the cat and said, "GA!" thus helping her with her decision. She hid under the bed.
Their quest complete, Athena went off to wash the honey and cookie crumbs off her fingers. And then we had Family Home Evening. Tadah!
Today I'm thankful for having plans to go to the movies tonight, cute kitty adventures, getting more Disney movies in the mail today, getting our Very Important Shipping Confirmation yesterday, and getting a decent amount of yummy candy last night.
