Think, think, think.

Just a couple of random thoughts today. We've been thinking about Winnie the Pooh. First thought: Eeyore's Japanese name is Iiyoo, which is awesome, because it loosely translates to, "Oookaaay," or, "Thaaat's alriiight." Alternatively, you could take it in a more ironic, perky way, and have it be, "Ooookay!" Bwa ha ha.

Second thought: I keep thinking about this but forgetting to post it on LJ, because it's extremely unimportant, but I think it's interesting. There's a scene (at least one scene) somewhere in Ouran High School Host Club where Honey says "itadakimasu" in a way that sounded a little odd to me. It stuck in my mind for a long time, and then we were playing Birth by Sleep. In Birth by Sleep, there's a minigame thing, and you can play a board game with Pooh and Tigger. When Pooh scores in the game, he says "itadakimasu," too, and it sounds just like when Honey said it in Host Club! It's probably the way he always says it, too, because it just seems so perfect that Honey would imitate Winnie the Pooh.

Today I'm thankful for cool Japanese name translation thingies, Page adorably following us around, having the reference material we need for work, finding out what happened to the volume of Negima! we were supposed to have gotten a couple weeks ago, and the yummy Chex Mix we had for a snack today.

We're doing a late-night bug hunt in Animal Crossing tonight, so no reports on giraffe stags yet! ...Because I know so many of you were dying to know…

  • It's not exactly accurate...

Well, we finished From the Earth to the Moon, and we did not expect that ending. Maybe we should have. But I guess I can't comment any more than that…
