Life's full of mysteries.
Anyway, the problem with updating LJ is that the main thing we have to talk about is...nothing. Okay, so not technically nothing, because...oh why hide it, we're reading Skip Beat! again! So we have Skip Beat! on the brain. This must be very tricky for Athena, because she's read ahead of me, and it's been a while since she's read the volumes I'm on, so she can't comment on anything until I say it first! And then she has to remember what the heck it is I'm talking about!
So I quote the line from volume...I don't remember what volume I'm reading. Either 17 or 18, but probably 18...I think. Athena says 18 makes sense. But anyway, I quoted the line where Lory was like, "I can't talk now. I'm facing the most difficult decision of my life." She tells me her reaction was, "I remember that line being funny... But I don't remember who said it or why..." And of course, I'm only paraphrasing, because it's an impromptu English translation which probably doesn't match the official English release.
The point is, there comes a point in our lives, every few months I guess, where we're constantly asking ourselves, "Why aren't I reading Skip Beat?" The answer: time and money. We have other things to do, and not enough money to buy the rest of it all at once and feel good about it. And so we find ourselves...not...reading Skip Beat!. Like right now. And next we really do need to practice. There's going to be a talent show soon, and we might want to be in it!
Today I'm thankful for having extra time to read Skip Beat! today, the story of how Reino got his name, Lory's most difficult decision, Chihayafuru having an awesome recap episode instead of a boring one, and the adorable way Page leans her head on the desk.
