On the bright side, the guy at the store was very nice and helpful. If I decide I don't hate cell phones long enough to go to the website and give him a rating, I'll give him a high one.
In the meantime, it's time to forget about cell phones for a while. I am kind of looking forward to playing around with them to figure out how they work and what ringtones to use and stuff, but we spent a loooooong time in that store (which is baffling, because all the decisions were made very quickly; we think the computers were going slow or something) and that has my brain feeling fuzzy, in addition to the annoyance at the cost of cell phone plans. (Also on the bright side, the phones were free with rebates.)
But we're forgetting about that and planning to watch anime! As we were procrastinating our Saturday chores (I was pinned by a kitty; what were we supposed to do?), we decided we might as well spend a few minutes on Facebook. We were about to watch a video and then probably leave, but just then, Kyoya was on Facebook and he messaged us. He asked us if we're watching any new anime, and we told him, no, we've been too busy. And since we are too busy, we haven't had time to look at the new anime enough to want to watch anything, so we asked Kyoya if he had any recommendations. And he immediately recommended Chihayafuru! So we're going to go watch it!
(Speaking of watching new things, we watched the second episode of Once Upon A Time last night, and our opinion remains unchanged, because so far, so did the story. Okay, so there was some more backstory on the wicked queen, and they introduced Maleficent, which had us going, "Maleficent? Really?" Of course really, they already established that they're going with the Disney names, they're not going to change it now. It still makes us sigh. We heard rumors about a Maleficent movie, and suddenly I'm wondering if people even realize that the evil fairy in Sleeping Beauty wasn't originally named Maleficent. Or maybe we're the only ones who think of Maleficent as "the villain in Disney's Sleeping Beauty" instead of just "the evil fairy in Sleeping Beauty.")
Today I'm thankful for friendly and knowledgeable sales representatives, getting to go grocery shopping before running out of groceries, Mom being kind enough to stick with us through the whole ordeal (except for part of the cell phone store, when she went to the car to look at her shiny new catalog; we certainly do not blame her for that), our heater being fixed, and getting to talk to Kyoya today.
