So as it turned out, neither of the girls who are kind enough to drive us to Institute were available to do so last night, so we didn't end up going after all. (I thought briefly about calling somebody else for a ride, then realized we don't know anybody else in that class. Except for the one person who takes the bus.) And so! we decided to take advantage of our free night and watch Tron: Legacy! Yay!
And then, ABC tempted us with a new show! Oh no! And it was a one-hour premiere! Aaaaahhhh! We decided to watch it anyway. It was pretty funny. And besides, we were up an hour late the night before, too. What's the big deal? The big deal is that right smack in the middle of Tron, we got a phone call! So on the one hand, it was actually good that we watched the new TV show, because otherwise, the call would have come during the climax. But on the other hand, the phone call lasted twenty minutes, thus keeping us up even later!
So we are very tired today. And Tron is the kind of movie that makes you feel like you're in some kind of an alternate universe for a while, which doesn't help the tiredness. It's like waking up from a weird dream. And if you go to sleep right after a movie like that, the feeling lasts all the next day. That and the content of the phone call are why we're saving the in-depth Tron review for another day.
See, the call was from Gaston! And no one plans to go to Disneyland Halloween parties like Gaston. Here we were planning on being gone for a day and a half, but it's hard to argue with his reasoning of making it a three-day trip instead. (Why? Because we <3 Disneyland too much. And we have annual passes. We might as well use them.) That being the case! we're now working extra hours on the big project so our boss won't freak out when we disappear for three days. And so today has been very busy.
To top it all off, we got an emergency mini-translation assignment to do when we were done! We were planning to go ahead and finish up Deltora Quest anyway, but the computer (or at least Open Office) seems vehemently opposed to that plan. So we're going to play Pokemon instead.
Today I'm thankful for getting to watch Tron: Legacy last night, having plans to go to Mickey's Halloween Party, being able to work extra hours ahead of time so no time is lost, not being trapped in the Grid, and finally finishing our fabulous desserts from the Cheesecake Factory.
