Anyway. I called Mom this morning to see how she was doing, and she said she was doing okay, just trying not to think about it. ...And I just called and reminded her. D'oh. Athena says she thinks it's important to think about it for a while. And then when you start to run our of tissues, it's important to stop thinking about it. On the other hand, we went to Disneyland the day after Mimsy died... But with Mimsy, we had a lot of time to come to terms with it after her cancer diagnosis. But anyway, we really hope Mom feels better soon.
And in a complete change of mood, we finished work early today, which meant we had time to do laundry! Yay! We also got to experience the intense three-digit heat! Woo! But the important thing is that, while we were doing laundry seemed like the perfect time to watch some anime. We had heard about Tiger & Bunny, and we wanted to watch it, because the main person we'd heard about it from was Masakazu Morita (via Twitter), but it started in April, and April was when we were either really busy or afraid that our free time was a trap, so we never got around to it. (It's streaming on Viz's website!)
So we're three episodes in now, and so far it's pretty awesome. It's like an anime, but also like a superhero movie. And all the heroes are sponsored! I don't really think that's a good thing, but it's funny, and makes for an interesting opening sequence. And it seems to be very character-driven, which we like a lot. And Origami Cyclone is a hilarious name for a superhero.
Today I'm thankful for getting to watch a great new anime, getting our laundry done, surviving the heat, finishing work early today, and this Negima! script being much shorter than the last three Negima! scripts we typed up.
