The desire to ditch work and go read Skip Beat! was strong. Then somebody used the verb "kiwamaru," which is the word that one actress was having trouble saying that one time... And last night we were watching Princess Tutu and being all in love with Fakir's voice and wondering why Takahiro Sakurai isn't in Skip Beat!.
And today is a day of lots of random thoughts that don't necessarily fit together. I decided it might be fun, in honor of my fingers' new favorite typo and because I think it's hilarious, to nickname Negi Springfield "Nego." But we're really not the nicknaming types, so I don't think it will stick.
In that same vein, way back when we were still working for TokyoPop, I would often mistype Natsume (Gakuen Alice) as Natsuem. That always reminded me of Aunt Em from The Wizard of Oz.
Anyway. Last night, we went to Leia's place to watch Princess Tutu, but she had had a long day and started falling asleep during it, so we decided to save the rest for later. In the meantime, we just chatted. It was like a miracle, because we got to talk about what's going on in our lives without people's eyes glazing over or an almost immediate change of subject. It's so nice to have friends.
Okay, this not reading Skip Beat! thing is really getting to be a problem.
Today I'm thankful for having a great time talking with Leia and Han last night, our copy of 101 Dalmatians arriving today, amusing typo nicknames, getting almost as much work done today as we wanted to, and the very yummy Hello Panda cookies we just ate.
