Lessons from kitties.

Today has been rather uneventful, so I'm going to talk about Page. Last night, I accidentally stepped on her tail. I didn't step on it very hard, but she's jumpy, so off she went, as far away as she could get.

Actually, that's not true. It would have been farther to go to the dining room, but she stopped in the living. But anyway, when I went after her to apologize, she kept running from me! Of course I can't blame her--I'd just stepped on her tail. But as soon as I stopped walking (so that my feet were done stepping on things), she came up to me and rubbed against my hand to let me know she forgave me. Awwwww.

Still, after that, she jumped out of the way anytime I started walking anywhere near her direction. But I thought it was a good example of how you can still be careful not to let somebody hurt you again while still forgiving them. She even came and joined me while I went to sleep last night.

...And then she jumped on the windowsill to stare at whatever caught her eye outside. She's so easily distracted♥

Today I'm thankful for forgiving kitties, the air conditioning working without us having to report it first, getting to have super yummy Italian Four Cheese Cheez-Its for snack time, having time to read manga today, and having plans for a Princess Tutu marathon tomorrow.
