Anyway. Oreo is at a point that we don't need to take him back until his regular checkup! Yay! And the vet didn't suggest euthanasia! Double yay! But Oreo did in fact lose weight. Boo. So we asked if there was anything we could do about it, and the vet was basically like, "Well, because of his IBD, he really needs to eat only the hypoallergenic food." His only suggestion was that we have PetSmart order the other brand of hypoallergenic food (which we would have gotten to begin with, but they didn't have it, so they had to change the prescription). This is not looking good for our wallet or Oreo's appetite. He's so stubborn about it that I almost wonder if he'd want us to kill him now that he's lost the joy of multiple food options. (But we still share a little milk and cheese with him. Maybe that's why he keeps having problems. Eheh.)
And then we got back to work. Tomorrow will be the last day, though. Unless the deadline was actually sometime in the middle of the night tonight (the joy of time zones). But we won't know until tomorrow, so we still have to wake up on time, because if the deadline is for our time zone, then we have a long day ahead of us. Sigh.
Today I'm thankful for the vet not suggesting euthanasia, getting donuts at HEG, my visiting teacher being kind enough to drive us to the vet, still getting as much work done as we wanted to do despite taking time out for the vet, and Oreo being all cute and curled up on the floor.
