When fandoms collide

More Final Fantasy IX goodness today. For some reason I decided that Daisuke Namikawa's voice would be a good match for Zidane, and since we had the opening bit running while we took a break for some chocolate, we cast each character as they showed up onscreen. Some of them took a few tries before we could decide on anyone though.

And here's our cast (which will likely be a little different next time we play through, or even next week):

Zidane: Daisuke Namikawa - Teen (Tide-Line Blue), Kamisama (Saiyuki Reload), Fay (Tsubasa Chronicle), Aoi (Kero Kero Chime)

Garnet: Fumiko Orikasa - Pacifica (Scrapped Princess), Rukia (Bleach), Miu (Ichigo Mashimaro), Meilin (Gundam Seed Destiny)

Vivi: Rie Kugimiya - Alphonse Elric (FullMetal Alchemist), Karin (Bleach), Ikhny (Candidate for Goddess), Erei (Lagoon Engine)

Steiner: Show Hayami - Yamamoto (Irresponsible Captain Tylor), Julious (Angelique), Archer (FullMetal Alchemist), Wolfwood (Trigun)

Freya: Romi Park - Kanan (Brain Powerd), Edward Elric (FullMetal Alchemist), Ueki (Ueki no Housoku), Hitsugaya (Bleach)

Amarant: Ken'yuu Horiuchi - Zakuro (Saiyuki Reload), Oscar (Angelique), Gunbird (Petite Princess Yucie), Gren (Cowboy Bebop)

Eiko: ...um... we're not sure, but Mamiko Noto (Anna in Ichigo Mashimaro, Esther in Trinity Blood, Rinko in Ueki no Housoku, etc.) might work... or maybe Kaori Mizuhashi... or... someone...

Quina: Uhhh...

And that's it for the party. We also have Ryotaro Okiayu as Kuja, or maybe Hoshi-san, since we know he's so good at playing characters that look like girls. And Jurouta Kosugi for Garland and Unsyo Ishizuka for Baku. We're still debating on Blank, too, but it would be neat if he was played by Ishida-san or Hoshi-san. Not that FFIX will ever need a voice cast, but still.

Looking back at the list, that's a pretty confusing thing to read. Oh well.

Also, today I'm thankful for Take 5 bars, the law of tithing, hairties, carpeting, and bookshelves.
