I did want to mention that we watched another episode of Disneyland last night, because it had the Osmonds on it, and they were adorable. We'd never seen them before, but we'd heard about them. Dad told us that apparently they got their start because they came to Hollywood to break into show biz, but it didn't work out so well, so their dad took them to Disneyland as one last happy memory before heading back home to Utah, and they were all dressed up in their barbershop quartet outfits. So there they are at Disneyland and they run into the Dapper Dans, Disneyland's resident barbershop quartet, and the Dapper Dans start singing, and they start singing back, and they got people's attention and bam! Celebrities.
And I have no idea why I know that story despite not having seen or heard the Osmonds before last night. Unless you count that one commercial with Donny and Marie ("We're not the Osbornes--we're the Osmonds!"), and Donny singing as Shang in Mulan. Maybe it was the Shang thing. But now we've seen the Osmonds, so I guess all is right with the world or something. And this Disneyland episode was the first time they appeared on television, so the kids are ages six to twelve! Soooo cute♥
In other news, we ordered Dumbo on Blu-ray! Yay! Soon our Disney Animated Feature collection will be complete except for Tangled! That's coming out in four weeks, so we need to start thinking about pre-ordering it, but after that last order I'm a liiiittle bit hesitant. See, you can't really get Dumbo in the US, so we ordered it from CD Japan. And with it, we ordered some other stuff, like the Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep 358/2 Days Coded soundtrack. And the exchange rate is absolutely terrible today. Ah well.
Today I'm thankful for shiny new CDs to look forward to, being one step closer to completing our Disney Animated Feature collection, finally getting to see Dumbo again soon, getting to see the Osmonds (seriously adorable), and making decent progress on Happy Cafe despite being distracted by things like CD Japan orders.
