Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow, it got late. We weren't even out all that late, but then we decided to watch what was left of Wheel of Fortune, and while that was going on, we got pinned under kitties, so we spent the rest of the night playing video games. Since it was a holiday, we decided to play a little Kingdom Hearts, and that's always nice.

Anyway. For Thanksgiving, Sarah's in-laws invited us over to share their dinner with them. It was very kind of them, and we do appreciate it, but we do still have a difficult time getting along with Sarah's in-laws. To illustrate, when people were going around saying what they were thankful for, one of the things I said I was thankful for was Disneyland. Another friend of the family who was visiting said sincerely, "Who isn't?", and several people raised their hands. So as you can see, while they may be very nice people, the personalities don't quite mesh.

But! we did get to watch How to Train Your Dragon after the meal. It was kind of interesting watching it after seeing Tangled, because all the hair seemed so stiff in comparison. And seeing it the second time made it even more frustrating when Hiccup was going to take his final exam. Argh, that whole scene. Still, it's a good movie.

Oh! And I think I figured out what my problem was watching Tangled. You know how in movies there are parts where nothing is really happening, like somebody's walking or... something like that, where they're going from one part of the story to the next. Whenever something like that happened, I would be like, "Oh no! I'm not utterly fascinated with what's going on! Something must be wrong with it!" And I think that's the problem with being too much of a Disney geek watching a new Disney movie. But one of these days I might actually sit down and write a thoughtful review of the thing.

Today I'm thankful for Sarah's in-laws being so kind as to invite us to their Thanksgiving feast, getting to watch How to Train Your Dragon again, getting to eat chocolate ice cream, Celeste once again being kind enough to give us a ride, and getting to come home to video games with kitties.
