Of course, we could just go over the translation now, because it might only take ten minutes for all we know. But we want to be able to devote a lot of time to it, and we don't like sitting at the computer anymore today. And! I need to call Ponyo to see if we're still on for fabric shopping. The idea is to go to the fabric store to get an idea of how much it will cost to make three more Beauty and the Beast costumes. If it's too much, we'll scrap the idea, and Ponyo and her brothers will dress as Toy Story characters (they already have a Woody and Jessie costume, so they'd just need to buy an already-made Buzz costume, which would be a heck of a lot cheaper than making the extravagant costumes we're thinking of).
But if we can somehow manage to afford it... by which I mean if we wouldn't be forcing Ponyo and her brothers to shell out too much cash, then we'll go ahead and buy fabric. And at that point, all our free time for the next two and a half weeks will be forfeit as we struggle desperately to finish the costumes in time for the Halloween party. I'm hoping it won't actually take that much time, but planning for the worst.
In the meantime, it's looking like scheduling issues might prevent our LeFou from coming after all, boo. But we might be able to make one of Ponyo's brothers play LeFou instead, so then it will all work out! There's a lot of tentativity going on right now. I think that's the story of our life right now, too. We're tentatively going to Japan, tentatively going to move, tentatively tentatively tentatively. That's why it's important to focus on what's going on right now, because trying to speculate for the future will only drive us crazy.
Today I'm thankful for the kitties spending so much time in close proximity today, making very good progress on Gakuen Alice, finally getting to make our manga order, adorable sketches posted by manga artists on Twitter, and getting to have pita chips for snack time.
