But man, we took like a million pictures that trip, and we were only there for two days! I think it might be the effect of having two photographers along with us for the first time since we got our fancy new camera. So hopefully we don't need to post all of them before we go again, but of course I like a lot of them so I want to share them. So. I don't know. Anyway, here's some more!
This is the entrance to the ultra super fancy Grand Californian Hotel.
I don't have anything to say about this one.
I took this picture while everyone was touring the sourdough bakery place. I didn't have any interest in free sourdough bread or the tour thingie featuring Rosie O'Donnell and Colin Mochrie (though it is an amusing tour--fun and educational!), so I waited on a bench outside. It was across the street from the Chinese restaurant, which had this neat little lantern.
Our friend Leia with Stitch!
There were several failed attempts at photographing the inside of the Disney Animation Building. The place is dark, so it requires a veeeerrrrry steady hand, and it turns out my hands just won't stop shaking! I don't remember who I got to take this picture. We had another one with a bunch of Maleficent in it, but I wanted one where you could see how big the screens are. That "Sorcerer's Workshop" sign is an entrance to another section of the building, to give you an idea. Those two smaller screens are probably about the size of screens they use in the typical college classroom (for average-sized classes, not the gigantic lecture halls).
Aaaand we're back in the Magic Kingdom, waiting for Tiana's Showboat Jubilee to start.
I caught sight of this statue on the house across the river and thought it looked interesting.
Looking at our pictures of the show, we realize just what a bad time of day it was to be photographing this show. Oh well, it was the one time we got to see it, so it's just as well we have photographic memories.
I don't know why I didn't get a picture of the climax where they were all wearing choir robes and singing "Dig a Little Deeper." Maybe I was too caught up in the music.
While we were in line for food (or possibly ice cream...), we spotted these rice crispy treats. They looked just like the LJ sugar cookie present nezumiko had given us recently, so we took a picture!
This is my favorite picture! As we were getting our fast passes for Indiana Jones, there was a cast member there, refilling one of the machines! I have bad luck with timing pictures with the flash and everything, so I was really worried that he would finish and close up before the picture took. When I got it, I said, "Yesss!" That startled him into looking up and asking, "What?"
I got this picture of It's A Small World mere moments before all the lights inexplicably went out. It's a little blurry (shaky hands), but it's the only Small World decorations picture we have!
And that's all for now! Whew, we still haven't gotten through the first day. Of course, we have about five hundred thousand pictures of the crowd waiting for the fireworks. Han was supposed to stitch them together into one big one, but we never sent him the pictures. Eheh.
Today I'm thankful for Oreo's medicine not giving him diabetes (at least we're pretty sure it didn't, since he's been off the medicine for a couple of months and isn't showing signs of diabetes), the camera getting the picture before the guy closed up the fast pass machine, being done with the insane (but very funny) Valentine's Day episode of Gakuen Alice, the light shining on the leaves of the tree outside our window, and having Darby O'Gill and the Little People to watch for St. Patrick's Day.
