We got a great photo opportunity as soon as everyone was in costume. Gaston was so much in character he just happened to be checking his looks in the car mirror. Unfortunately, his gut was sticking out in the candid shot, so we had to take another one. The pose isn't quite as good, and his face is a little weirder, but you get the idea.
Trying to read the map.
Incidentally, for those wondering "That doesn't look like Gaston's costume!", this is the Broadway style, because that's the one our Gaston likes the best.
This is another example of my failure at photography. I wanted to get Mickey and Minnie in their adorable Halloween outfits, but I just couldn't get the camera ready in time. Instead you get a nice shot of Alice behind Mickey's head.
And here we have a bunch of shots taken by the park photographer. Most of the really good ones were taken by the one with the park camera, and we don't have those yet (Gaston and Alice ordered the CD; it got delivered to Gaston's family's house, and we don't know where it is currently, but I would guess they picked it up when visiting for Christmas). But anyway, you can see our interaction with the characters.
After watching the movie (we didn't before Halloween because we don't have our own copy), we realized that instead of glaring jealously at Belle, we should have been gazing adoringly at Gaston, but ah well. We'll do better next time. Next time, we also want to have a Maurice.
I should give a link to the event report, so people who started reading our journal later can learn of the wonderful conversation we had with Ariel.
Again, a lot of the more fun pics were on the Disneyland camera, but Gaston and Cruella were pretty interesting to watch.
Lady Tremaine opted to sit this one out.
This photo seemed less blurry before we rotated it. Like the rotating was so fast! that it blurred the picture. Anyway, this is our takeover of the Beast's library.
Eileen was so picturesque sitting in that chair, I just had to snap a photo.
Incidentally, those bags you keep seeing with the UP ads on them are our trick-or-treat candy bags.
Here I bet you were thinking we would try to sneak out of all the photos.
This is with the amazing group of Disney cosplayers we ran into. So jealous.
The look on the not-Beast's face here is so great. When we were posing for this picture, all of the people in the Disney cosplay group came to look at it, saw all the facial expressions, and had to get a shot for themselves.
As we left the trick-or-treat party, we realized, oh hey, we haven't gotten a picture of just the three silly girls, in all their traffic light glory.
So we got two.
See if you can guess which of us is which color!
That's it for the pictures. Here's the text report. Maybe one of these days we'll be so on top of things that we'll post pictures and text together! Like an illustrated report! That would be cool. Maybe someday.
