We just spent most of the day at Mom's place for the holiday, and now Oreo is showing how much he missed us. It was a pretty typical Thanksgiving for us this year, nothing really to report on. There was an annoying bit where Steve thought it was funny, once again, to pretend that he was the expert on Disney and show his complete lack of knowledge, taking the attitude that he knew as much as anybody really needed to know. I'm just hoping it was karma when he had a hard time convincing people to watch Song of the South--kind of a "welcome to our lives" thing. On the other hand, it's possible that the main reason he was pushing Song of the South to begin with was that he wanted a positive mention here on LJ, and if that was the case then here's his negative mention on LJ. But since he does genuinely enjoy the movie, we'll assume he doesn't need that negative mention. What surprised me was that mentioning how the movie is controversial didn't seem to pique anybody's interest. That's okay--we did get to watch it.
And now it's just about time to give Oreo his medicine (he's down to once a day now!), and then go hang out in the living room.
Today I'm thankful for getting to watch Song of the South, getting to eat lots and lots of dinner rolls, getting to eat chocolate pie, getting to enjoy conversation with people, and getting to watch some Yume-Iro Patissiere before we left this morning.
