Seeing as how we're too lazy to exercise in this heat, I've thought of another solution to my problem. Back when we were in high school, there was a Relief Society teacher in our ward who impressed everyone with her constant happiness. She explained to everyone that probably the reason she's so happy is that she keeps a gratitude journal, in which she lists five things she's thankful for every day. You can't list the same thing twice, so you're constantly looking for things to be happy about.
This sounds logical, because if I'm getting angry for no reason, it probably has something to do with not appreciating the good things. So I think I'll try this out. And at any rate, it'll give me something to talk about in LiveJournal, because I like to update daily.
So here goes, in order that I think of them:
I am thankful for the modern marvel of indoor plumbing.
I'm thankful that my parents took me to piano lessons when I was little. I am by no means a master of the piano, but sometimes it's nice to be able to be a part of the music, instead of just listening. I guess that's what singing along is for, but it's different. Also, it means I get to be the RS pianist, a calling that I like, because it's low responsibility and I'm sinfully lazy.
I am very thankful that Kazuya Minekura became a manga artist, because now we can read her version of Saiyuki, which is highly entertaining and has great characters.
I am thankful that Yukiru Sugisaki became a manga artist, because now we can read DN Angel, The Candidate for Goddess, and Lagoon Engine (among other works). And I am grateful that characters in her art style tend to have larger noses than the average anime/manga character, because we can look more like them when we cosplay. This may have something to do with our Jewish ancestry.
I am thankful that Akira Ishida and Soichiro Hoshi chose to be voice actors.
