Like I said, I don't remember the main text on the inside (most like something like "Happy Holidays from DC Comics"--I do remember the logos of all their branches), but the cover is adorable. It has Batgirl hanging from the side of a building with a rope, with Lex Luthor hanging upside-down beside her, and Supergirl flying up to meet her, carrying the Joker tied up behind her, and they're both saying, "What did you get me?" And Supergirl's got her hand up to her mouth like, "oh my gosh!" and is like so totally valley girl and stuff. And Lex Luthor has a tag tied to him that says "To Supergirl" and the Joker has a tag tied to him that says "To Batgirl." It's so adorable.
Incidentally, I couldn't remember the exact wording of what the girls were saying (What did you get me, what d'you get me, what'd you get me...) so I went to get the card and checked what the text says, and it's "Hoping you get everything you wish for this holiday season." And it's signed by a bazillion people from, I imagine, DC Comics. We found our boss's signature and it's kind of Walt Disney-esque, which we think is pretty neat. But we don't recognize any of the other names. Does that make us failures are comic book fans? Maybe they're all wasted on us! Aw, sad. Maybe we should look them all up on the internet right now... Or maybe we'll decide we don't think it's that important.
Anyway, I just noticed that each of the villains has a big bow on him. Awesome.
That had us pretty excited, so we even forgot to open up the new CD we got from the Classic Composers collection and find out who it is. Maybe we should do that...
In randomer news, it's clear that typing something over and over and over and over affects how you type other things later on (especially if you're not paying attention). For example, we're translating Me & My Brothers, and a character shows up named Mika, and somehow, whenever I typed her name, an N kept attaching itself to the end. Clearly Gakuen Alice is taking control.
What's even funnier is whenever we're working on Gakuen Alice, or if I'm even talking about it here on LJ, I have to correct myself dozens of times because I accidentally type "Gakuen Alive." So we were translating New Series yesterday, and, the way I type it, someone ends up saying, "No, she's still alice." (Incidentally, her name was not Alice.)
Today I'm thankful for super awesome adorable greeting cards from DC Comics, having leftover cookies to eat very very soon, getting the white mage back on the party, Oreo using my wrist for a pillow (it may be inconvenient, but it's oh so cute♥), and reasons to smile.
