Woohoo! Long weekend!!

The first thing on our to-do list today was turn in the rush translation for Del Rey. We hate that we turned it in so late. Okay, so by "late," I mean the day before the official deadline, but dang it, this was a rush job--we should have turned it in much sooner! But there were extenuating circumstances. We realized we needed some information before we could finish it, so while we were waiting for that we actually started and finished four other translations. So by the time we really did get it in, because we had it looming in the background while we worked on four other translations, it was kind of a surreal feeling to actually have it done.

The next thing on our to-do list was to turn in the non-rush translation for Del Rey, because it was one of the translations we did while waiting for info for the other one. The deadline was also going to be tomorrow, but when the rush job came up, it was going to be moved back. But the contract we got still had the original deadline. We meant to ask about it, but at the rate we were going, we figured it wouldn't be an issue, so we just signed it and turned it in anyway.

And since turning translations in doesn't take nearly as long as doing the translations, we have a lot of free time today. We thought about getting started on our next project, but not for very long. So instead, we've been playing the Host Club game. Celeste's going out of town this weekend, so now we have all tonight and all tomorrow with free reign of the TV! Woohoo! So we want to take full advantage. But we might work on Lagoon Engine Einsatz at some point, because we want to finish that before we work on Lagoon Engine 6, which is coming up.

Oh yes! Last night's Who Wants to Be a Superhero?. I have to say, I'm not quite sure what Stan Lee's obsession with "the costume is sacred" thing is. I mean, in the case of Major Victory last year, Major Victory didn't have much reason to take his cape off, but those jacks (supposedly something the Defuser invented to stop badguys) the Defuser gave to those kids are obviously something he'd have to restock anyway, since he uses them, so why not give them to kids to help them defend themselves? We suspected as much last year with Major Victory, too, but we think Mr. Lee is just looking for excuses to put people on the elimination block.

I also noticed that in the commercial for Mega Snake, the announcer said that Feedback was guest starring in a Sci-Fi original movie, so I wonder if it's not really a Feedback movie... The clip they always show does make it look like it might only be a cameo role. But then who would be the hero? We'll just have to watch and find out.

Well, I guess that's all for now. Live Journal's been pretty quiet the last couple of days, so I wanted to say something wildly entertaining... but it's just not coming. Maybe later we'll post a translation of something... or maybe we'll be too busy with other entertainments. We'll just have to see.

Today I'm thankful for getting a long weekend, getting free reign of the TV, finishing the rush job for Del Rey, having batteries in our camera, and opening up new video clips on the Host Club game.
