Yesterday Athena's visiting teacher took us out for ice cream for our birthday. We wanted to try those new sundaes they have at Baskin Robbins, but as it turned out, we happened to show up on 31 cent scoop night, so by the time we got to the front of the line, they were out of Heath and Reese's ice cream. Alas. On the bright side, all the proceeds for the night went to a charity to support widows and families of fallen firefighters. I'm not sure that's much consolation, since we only got five scoops between the three of us, but at least we got firefighter badge stickers!
We still haven't heard back about our volunteer applications for AX, so we're keeping an eye on the hotel situation. It looks like some rooms freed up in the Queen Mary, but that place is haunted, so we're holding out. One time I mentioned how the Queen Mary is one of the official AX hotels to Dad, and said we didn't want to stay there because it's haunted, and he said it shouldn't be a problem if we're saying our prayers and stuff, but the idea is still kinda scary.
Well, that's about all I can think of to write about today. I think I'm waking up a little now. Today I'm thankful for 31 cent scoop night, birthday ice cream, nice people who will treat us to ice cream, firefighter stickers, and being very close to getting Yasutsugu's ending in HaruToki2.
