Spending big

Today we took the plunge and ordered the super shiny Miraculous figure of Ladybug and Chat Noir that was released in...June, I think? We wanted it ever since we knew it existed, but oh my goodness, it was expensive! ...I'm actually not sure how expensive it is relative to most high-quality anime figures, come to think of it, since we don't buy a whole lot of those. We actually don't think the price of the figure is unreasonable at all, but that didn't mean we could afford it.

We almost bought it for ourselves for our birthday, actually, but then we got to shipping and they charged $90 for that, and we were like, "Whoa, wait, we better think about this!" So we backed away from it and we tried to justify it, but we kept having bills and stuff. It was always in the back of our minds, but we just couldn't bring ourselves to do it.

But today! we decided that's what we were going to get with the money Nanny and Pappy gave us for Christmas. Even then, we hesitated, because we weren't sure if we would need the Christmas money to pay bills in the future, but we looked at our work schedule and our current finances, and we decided to just do it! And now it has been ordered, and we're very excited to get it!

Today I'm thankful for getting Christmas money from Nanny and Pappy, getting to order the figure we've wanted for so long, getting to work on Those Not-So-Sweet Boys today, finishing our first draft even after taking time to go to the grocery store, and the beautiful weather we got to enjoy as we walked to and from the store.
