It's almost Christmas

We spent a nice day relaxing before our super exciting work/family trip! We watched the Beneficent Cucumberpatch Grinch movie, and we really liked it, but when it got to the end where it was supposed to deliver its message, we were kind of like, "I...think I know what you're saying?" Also a heart tripling in size is not the same thing as growing three sizes. But we really did enjoy it for the most part. And we were amused that Danny Elfman snuck in some of "Making Christmas" to the background music when the Grinch was going from house to house.

Today was also the day of the special Christmas sacrament meeting. It went well, and we got a lot of compliments for it, which I suppose is a good thing. We didn't take any credit, though, since none of it was our idea, and we still pretty much disliked it. On the one hand, I do think it's a very good thing that people enjoyed it and it helped them feel the spirit, but on the other hand, it really wasn't our taste, so if we had our way, we wouldn't do it this way at all. But that's probably why we're not in charge. So there's a good chance we'll be doing it again... Anyway, Athena got to lead the Spanish-speaking choir, so that was a new experience. The bishop was impressed when he realized she was singing along, and he's like, "I didn't know you knew Spanish!" and she's like, "That's because I don't." The pronunciation is a lot like Japanese, so she can fake it pretty good.

Anyway, it's time for Christmas traveling! It's going to be super exciting (as stated previously), because we get to take work with us! And we'll be ready to whip out the Chromebook whenever there's a lull so that we can get as much work done as possible! Woo...hoo...

Today I'm thankful for having a nice relaxing day, getting to see the year-old new Grinch movie, managing to not ruin the Christmas program with our negativity, getting some World's Finest Chocolate from some neighborhood kids, and getting to hang out with Page.
