Not eating worms yet

I think there's a dangerous(?) combination of factors adding up that lead to a very low probability of actually posting anything on here. First, there's the busyness. That means we don't have a lot of time to post, and when we do get time, we want to use it on recreation. This could count as recreation, but I'll get to that later. Second, there's the fatigue. When we're tired, we're less likely to care about posting anything. And third, there's the audience, or lack thereof.

We read a thing on Facebook today that said something about how shouting into the void isn't pointless because the void is just waiting patiently for you to finish your thought before replying. It was meant as a joke, I guess, but we didn't find it to be all that amusing. At the time, I think I was just reading too much into the philosophical meaning of the void, but now that I'm here at LJ and Athena's pointing it out to me, I think it was just too close to home. And like, "No, I've been shouting into the void for a while now and I still got nothing."

Of course, this isn't entirely true, but when you're tired and have very little contact with the outside world, it's easy to exaggerate these sort of things in your mind. And it's not like the consequences are going to be that dire or anything. At worst, we'd just stop posting. And I don't know, maybe that wouldn't affect anybody, but we just read an article about the importance of journal keeping, so I feel like I shouldn't give it up just yet. So instead, I just come to our journal and whine, because the other factor in all of this, which comes in conjunction with the busyness and fatigue, is that I have very little else to talk about, and whining is the easiest thing to come up with. (I do want to post about Akira's story from KamiAso IF, but that's where the busyness intervenes again, because when we have time to either play KamiAso or post about KamiAso...well, I think it's pretty easy to see what we'd prefer.)

Oh! But there is a tiny bit of news from Kingdom Hearts Union Cross. They just released a new Key Art medal, and this time, instead of Tetsuya Nomura art (which I love, don't get me wrong), it's Shiro Amano art! Awwwww, it's a tribute to the manga! We have to pay money to get it, which seems like a silly thing to do for a few bits of digital art, but on the other hand, it would be voting with our dollars to support the manga, which was so so good. We're still undecided about it, but I'm leaning towards why not.

Today I'm thankful for Kingdom Hearts remembering the manga, making really good progress on work today, getting to play KamiAso IF, finishing Death Parade (hey, there's something we could potentially talk about), and the new "could we get this ASAP?" deadline being something we really like.
