Busy, busy!

Oh my goodness, the "having multiple projects due on the same day" thing is trying sometimes. ...I mean, last night we got material for another project, and it turns out it's due on the same day as the one we were already working on. Of course this wouldn't be so much of a problem if that day wasn't Thursday. So now we have two days to finish both of them, and we can't just say, "That's okay, we'll just stay up late on Thursday if we have to!" because Mom is coming to visit. On the other hand, Mom's coming to visit, which is pretty great.

In the meantime, we're just making sure to push ourselves a little every day so we don't end up really regretting it on Thursday. I think we're going to make it with both projects, but the second one is a little intimidating.

The extra special thing about all of this is that we still don't have a lamp in our office, so when the sun goes down, we're working in the dark! Whee! Fortunately, we have a hall light, and of course the light from the computer screens, so we can see and it doesn't really hamper our work progress, except for the fact that it's not really fun to work in the dark. On the other hand, if we made it into some kind of a game, that could be super fun! But darkness is a reminder that it's late, and we'd rather be doing other things, even though we really like these projects.

In the meantime, we talked to Mom this morning, and she thinks the injury on Page's chin was caused by Celeste's cat, Storm. Storm lives at Mom's house (I may have mentioned her before), and she and Page never managed to hit it off. For the most part, they avoided each other, but as Page and Mojo got to be friends, Page seemed to think it would be safe to try getting closer to Storm. Storm disagreed. But they never got into fights as epic as Page and Oreo's, probably because when Page approached Oreo she was openly hostile. When Page approached Storm, Storm just thought she was annoying, I think. Anyway, that's one theory. We just hope it heals quickly.

Today I'm thankful for making good enough progress on work that we can stop for tonight, being close to finishing off our Halloween candy, getting to watch "Murder, She Wrote" on Netflix, the really great acoustics in our living room (whistling sounds amazing), and being finished just in time for Lux Up Time at Kingdom Hearts [chi].
