Getting things done...ish

It's funny...or maybe not funny, or even anything new, but anyway, I've noticed yet again that many times when I think, "Well, we finished our work list, I guess we'll have a lot of free time," we end up having so many things to do that we can't fit it all in. And we forgot to catch up on our emails, but plans will be kicking in very shortly, so that's just going to have to wait until tomorrow.

But today has been somewhat productive. Most notably, we put all our tax information together to be processed by our accountant. It was kind of a good news/bad news situation, because we earned a lot of money last year, but that means we have to pay more taxes this year, and this year we haven't been doing so well on the "earning money" front so far. We're hoping that will change in the not too distant future. (We also put together a pro/con list for potential future options...which ended with us being even less decided than before. Athena says it might be about the same amount of decided, but like there's all this indecisiveness swirling around, and we stirred it up...and ended up with a different patterned swirl of indecisiveness.)

In the meantime, we stubbornly insisted, despite shirking responsibilities like email, on watching a new anime...which is actually about a year old. But it's new to us, which is the important thing. There was a flyer for Space Brothers in the Fairy Tail manga we translated, and I don't know if it was the fact that it stares at me from the desk whenever I'm at the computer, or the thought that maybe we should acquaint ourselves with more Kodansha titles, or maybe just boredom coupled with the knowledge that four out of six of our current anime series are coming to an end in the next couple of weeks, but we decided to watch it. Of course, this one might be coming to an end in a couple of weeks, too, but we still have a year's worth of episodes to watch. Also, if we would just be patient and wait a couple of weeks, there'd be a bunch more anime to try out...but still.

So we watched, and we liked it a lot! But now we don't have time to watch more. It's probably a good thing we saved it for almost last, because it's possible we wouldn't have gotten anything else done if we had started with it. It was kind of funny, because the main character is played by Hiroaki Hirata, and his mother is played by Mayumi Tanaka, so we saw the credits (we recognized the former voice but not the latter), we were like, "Whoa...Luffy is Sanji's mom?" ...Maybe you had to be there.

Today I'm thankful for finally getting our tax stuff sent in to our accountant, getting to see a fun new anime, sweet potato chips not being disgusting (kinda good, actually), Page's adorable new favorite spot, and yummy chocolate hcip cookies to look forward to.
