kid flash

Today has been kind of surreal. I'm sure part of it has to do with the barren waste that used to be our tree, but most of it is probably due to my own eccentricity. We had to work on a file that needed the real Microsoft Office and not Open Office, and the version of MS Office on the desktop computer is expired and not working, so we pulled out the laptop. But because I... I really just don't know why. I just wanted it that way, I guess. We kept the desktop open for stuff like our regular online dictionaries (which of course can be accessed with the laptop). It might have also had something to do with the fact that we had about eight million programs running on each computer.

But anyway. The point is that we had two computers running, and we were working on both of them at the same time. If we had any amount of logic, we may have thought, "Hey! Two computers, two people!" and each taken a computer, but the way we work in general, plus the way we were working today specifically, would not have made that any more efficient. But it was kind of an adventure, so I guess it's alright. It was just really weird having two computers out. But I think it would have been pretty surreal with just the laptop, too, since we're not used to working on it.

The other surreal thing about today is our complete lack of free time, so that's all I have to say.

Today I'm thankful for having a computer with a legal and fully functional copy of MS Office, the surreal work being really fun (or it must be, because time just flies away!), having plenty of chocolate to relax with (assuming we have a few minutes to spare), having an appointment with my visiting teachers tomorrow, and it being time to stop working very soon.
