My lips are sealed

There's like a ton of stuff going on, but I don't think we can really talk about any of it! It has me thinking about the point of confidentiality clauses. It's like this Japan thing. Nothing was final, it was all tentative, and even though I made sure at the very beginning to say it might not actually happen, I feel like the girl who cried Japan because nothing happened. I don't know if that's how people see it, though, so I'm not too worried about that, but I do think it would probably be a good idea to not talk about things until we're more sure of what's going on.

That being the case... we don't have anything to talk about. Okay, so that might not be true, either. We had tentative (always tentative) plans to take the day off from work so that we could make a bunch of progress on costumes, but then we got some paperwork that we had been waiting for, and then we were like, "We should work on this before we get the other thing we're expecting," and then we'll get that thing, and we still have costumes, and there are always Things we want to do, so we kind of feel like we don't have any free time. We're definitely looking forward to our Castle break tonight.

In the meantime, all the things occupying our time are very fun... if more than a little disturbing, in the case of something like Higurashi. Oh, Higurashi... But Ponyo and Michelangelo might be coming over later to help us with costume stuff, and that means social interaction! Yay! And on top of that, Leia's calling later! Also yay!

We called Leia last night, actually, partially because we needed to talk, and partially because we thought we should confess that we usurped her feather duster costume. I told her we stole the character for somebody else, and she was like, "Oh, okay." It didn't bother her at all! We could probably stand to learn from her, possessive as we get over our cosplay characters. It's really a little pathetic. But we are going to need her and Han to be Lumiere and the feather duster at some point, though.

And in the midst of it all, we still have a column that we need to write today, and no ideas of what to write it on. If anybody has anything that they would like to read a (manga) column about, please please please please PLEASE let us know, because we're completely stumped!

And now, back to work. Today I'm thankful for the weather really getting cool this time (it was only sort of cool yesterday, but we had another thunderstorm last night, and now it's cool for real), the cookies made from the ancient cookie dough not killing us (so far), making lots of progress on Higurashi today, getting to pay the rent today without having to borrow money from anybody!, and having plans to see and/or talk to people tonight!
