Wow, where does all the time go? Today we were supposed to do our Family History homework. We were supposed to do research on someone in our family. We tried to use the Family Search website, but oh my goodness, it was so confusing. So basically all we did was figure out that a bunch of other people have been researching our family history already, and we're not sure what's what any more, because of all the differing accounts. Oh boy.

Then we had a surprise project pop up! See, we had a great time watching Toy Story (one and two) with people last night, and we talked and laughed and had fun and stuff... and got home at about eleven. And there was an e-mail! Someone from church had a friend who needed help with some Japanese stuff in a professional kind of way, so we're like, "Hey, potential work! Sweet!" So we e-mailed the person whose e-mail address she gave us.

This morning, he had already e-mailed us back! Whoa! So we started working on a sample thingie, because he actually needed English to Japanese, and we don't have a whole lot of experience with that. And he wanted samples, and we had very few, so we had to make one. We were up-front about it, though, and admitted to being out of our field. So we don't know if anything will come of it, but hopefully at least they'll find one of our samples to be amusing (so it wouldn't have been a total waste of time).

But! while we were working on that! Celeste called and asked if we wanted to go have dinner and then hang out. Well of course we did! So we did! Bam! Celeste brought her guitar and played all the new songs that she learned. She learned the "what do you do with a drunken sailor?" song, so we're that much (like half a step) closer to assembling our pirate band! Woohoo!

And we watched more of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show, which is still silly and amusing. It also still makes us long for The Legend of Zelda. Maybe we should have Celeste get that for us for Christmas last year. (While we were talking, she brought up Christmas last year, and Athena was like, "I got a gift card and to IOUs," and Celeste remembered that one of those IOUs came from her, so she was like, "So... What do you want for Christmas last year?" She's a good kid.)

Eventually we all realized we had other things to do, so we parted ways, and then we finished our sample and our second e-mail, and now it's super late! Oh no! Oh well.

Today I'm thankful for getting to hang out with Celeste, the very tasty cheese sticks they have at Red Robin's, the mint brownie milkshakes they also have at Red Robin's, being remembered when someone hears about potential Japanese translation work, and opening up the piano bench to find all kinds of nostalgic sheet music.
