Clash of the Kitties!!

We officially reached the end of our project list today. Fortunately, we have a few things that we could probably turn in soon if we want to. For now, it's okay anyway, because it's just in time for yet another trip to Disneyland! Yay! We'll be leaving tomorrow evening and coming back some time on Friday. We weren't originally planning for the trip to be that long, but it's really all up to Gaston, since he's doing all the driving. So whatever's most convenient for him!

Today we took Page to get her booster shots. We hated to do it, because it's bad enough having to go to the vet anyway, but to go to the vet to have them make you sick? That can't be fun. But it's for her own good, so we do it anyway. She seems to be doing alright so far, so we're hoping that the booster shots won't have as strong an effect on her as the first shots.

Speaking of kitties, they're getting along alright. Page has learned to give Oreo his space, and everything would be all hunky-dory if Oreo wouldn't insist on standing next to doorways. How is Page supposed to keep her distance if there's no distance to keep? And so they have their clashes. This morning, Athena had the pleasure of extracting one of Oreo's claws from Page's face. Eheh. (It wasn't as bad as it sounds. You know how cats shed claws? It was one of those.)

But on the other hand, this morning I stumbled across Oreo as he was watching something going on in the bathroom. Page was in there, trying to eat something. (I think it was a piece of dental floss that was dangling from the waste basket.) He walked into the bathroom... and nothing happened! So I think that maybe Oreo is trying to give Page more of a chance, but he still hasn't gotten to a point where he can fully contain himself.

Today I'm thankful for being done translating the book that has been giving us so much trouble, finishing it before leaving for Disneyland, having what appears to be plenty of time to get Hameln's happy ending, getting to go to Disneyland again, and the nice gentle rain we've had today.
