Stuff

I'm not entirely sure what to post about today. There've been a lot of thoughts whirling around, and it's hard to catch any of them long enough to focus on it. We did watch the Saiyuki musical yesterday, but I think I want to post about that tomorrow. I will, however, mention the backstage stuff, in which the actor who plays Hakkai was wearing the most awesome hoodie ever. And how do I know it's the most awesome hoodie ever? The fabric had a print design that was basically just the word "awesome" over and over and over. How can that not be considered awesome? We want to see if we can find one and get it for Celeste. She has a t-shirt that says, "Without me, it's just aweso". We're not convinced we'll be able to find it, but we know of a place or two to look before we decide it's not worth the effort.

Hmm... We have plans to go fabric shopping tomorrow, so hopefully we'll get all the fabric we need for everything. It's been decided that in the Chrono Trigger group, we will be playing Marle and Lucca, and I think it would be fun, instead of buying fabric for Lucca, to make the whole outfit out of recycled t-shirts. Unfortunately, we don't have t-shirts in the right colors, and we wouldn't want to cut them all up if we did, so we'd have to buy more, and I don't know if it would be more or less expensive to get shirts instead of fabric. Depends on the fabric, I guess. At any rate, I'm pretty sure with the shirt idea I'm more likely to be able to find the right colors. See, one year, we wanted to be Yu and Ai from Final Fantasy: Unlimited, but I couldn't find the fabric I wanted for Yu's shorts. But we did find a t-shirt that was the right color, so we bought it and I cut it up to make shorts. It was pretty awesome, too, because I didn't have to hem them, since I just used the hem the t-shirt already had. And since it worked so well, I thought I'd do the same thing for Lucca's shorts (same design, different color). And then I thought I'd just do it for the whole outfit, like I mentioned already.

Today's pretty much been like the rest of the week--generally feeling of blah but with fun stuff interspersed throughout. Eventually I'm sure the fun stuff will drive the blahs away completely, but we're still working on it.

Today I'm thankful for the good talks and lessons we had at church today, getting to watch Saiyuki: The Musical last night, the most awesome hoodie ever, plans to go fabric shopping tomorrow, and finding a check in the mail from yesterday.
