I need to post...

But it's been a long day and I'm tired. Not that it's been a bad day. Just a long one. We went to Mom's place because it's Steve's birthday tomorrow (same day as Tomokazu Seki!), and stuff... actually didn't happen for a while, so it was pretty boring, but then stuff happened and it wasn't so boring. Fortunately, we had our DSes for the boring part, but unfortunately we got tired of playing them long before the boring part was over. But then Kimee didn't want to watch football, either, so we just talked with her until it was time for people to start setting the dinner table.

Sarah very kindly agreed to make the grilled cheese sandwiches for those of us who didn't want to eat the main course (meaning me, Athena, and Scott; we would have managed without them, which is why Sarah says we deserve to have them), but at one point a fuse blew or something and the skillet she and her fiance were making the sandwiches on wasn't getting any more power. So the fiance found another outlet, and then the fuse blew there, too; it was pretty entertaining to watch his reaction whenever he found an outlet that worked.

Dinner was pretty fun. There was one part where Sarah's fiance was teasing Celeste's fiance, saying something about how he was about to have his final transfer (Mormon missionary lingo), and then he'd have one of those companions that never goes away. And Celeste's fiance said very quietly, "I'm okay with that." And we were like, "Awwwwwwwwwww♥" And Celeste was like, "I know, he's a catch, right?"

Then there was a crisis and Steve had to go, so we all watched Jumanji because we couldn't continue the birthday party without the birthday boy. I really have no idea why they chose Jumanji, but there it was. It has a lot of cute and funny moments, but for about half the movie, we're like, "Just ROLL THE FRICKIN DICE ALREADY!!!!" It made us very impatient.

And then there were presents and then we played Mafia. We just got done translating a volume of Higurashi, so we realized how easily the game could be turned into a Hinamizawa/Oyashiro-sama's Curse game instead of Mafia, and that could make it more fun, in a twisted creepy kind of way. But the question remains--would you win when you killed the Mafia, or when you killed the detectives?

And now we're home and we're with kitties, and I don't know if we want to read manga or watch an episode of I Dream of Jeannie, because last week we watched a part one and part two wasn't available On Demand yet. But I'm sure we'll figure it out.

Today I'm thankful for circuit breakers, them finally getting done with that stupid game, helpful little sisters, still having some chocolate that we got in Relief Society, and Band Brothers reminding us that we need to keep in mind that we want to buy musical instruments.
