Futago Translations on the web!

more_dragoncelt's last entry just reminded me. We have a website. But it's kind of dumb, which is why I didn't mention it. We're too lazy to go find the link, too. See, what happened is one day we get a call from this company saying, "Hey, we'll make you a website, and once it's up you can go there and customize it and add your own pictures and stuff, and if you don't like it, you can cancel it at any time," and we're like, "Hey, we want a website, and we only know a tiny bit of HTML. Sure!"

They said they'd send us a packet and stuff once it was up, so we went to AX and forgot all about it. When we got back from AX, there was a little bit of, "Hey, shouldn't we have heard from them by now?" but that didn't last, because we suddenly got super busy.

So finally, on I think it was Friday, we got a letter from them saying, "Hey, your site's up! Here's the link; you can go check it out!" So we checked it out, and oh my gosh the insanity of it. Okay, so it wasn't really insane. Just... um... sappy? In a businessy kind of way. It's like, "We're here to serve you! Our motto is... um, something lame and stuff." I kind of wish we hadn't already changed it, so we could show it to people, because I blocked it from my memory. Or more like I couldn't stand to read it enough to commit to memory.

So yes, we changed all the text, but we can't change the format, and we don't have any pictures to upload to change them, either. I think if we call their hotline, we can have somebody change it for us, but we're currently too busy to bother or even care if it gets done. So we're thinking we'll just cancel. I guess that means I should post the link so people can see it while it lasts... Okay, okay, here it is. Now I really am sad we didn't leave the crazy default text. Ah well.

Oh yeah, I wanted to talk about Babes in Toyland. But I don't really have much to say. We watched it yesterday, and we never realized that the Scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz played Barnaby. I always thought it was Vincent Price for some reason. But that's really all we have to say about it. Except that Tom and Mary look like Prince Eric and Vanessa, which is kind of wrong, but Babes in Toyland came first, so... I don't know.

Today I'm thankful for not having to get all those bills in the mail anymore, getting the rent paid early again, being able to afford air conditioning, artist newsmail from CD Japan, and angel food cake. Incidentally, anyone who says cats don't like sweets has not met our cats. Last night, we had angel food cake with vanilla ice cream, and Mimsy came for the ice cream and Oreo came for the cake. He just couldn't get enough of the stuff!

EDIT: Fixed the link code. Eheh.
