Saiyuki = ♥

I had been waiting for this day to come for a little bit now. See, yesterday the UPS guy came and delivered Saiyuki Reload 6, which meant that today we have to work on it. (We would have worked on it yesterday but for the crazy driving all over town to buy pants (and a shirt to hopefully turn into Kadzuki's from the opening sequence).) And working means we need the monitor to stay not black, and that means we have a perfectly reasonable excuse for turning on the air conditioning! Tadah!

But then they keep mentioning global warming on the news, and so we're like, "It's sooooo hoooooot...! Must turn on AC...! But wait! AC means more harmful emissions means more global warming means even hotter weather!!! Noooooooooooooo!!!!!"

And we're still not sure we can afford it. So, since we've had some clouds, it's been a little bit cooler than the Weather Channel had been predicting for a while, and we decided we could deal. And if the monitor blacks out, that's when we turn on the AC. So far, the monitor hasn't blacked out once, and right now, we've had it on for longer than an hour (usually we get about forty minutes at this time of day, in cooler weather).

Seriously, I think this room might be some kind of a heat trap. For the past week, it's been noticeably warmer than the rest of the apartment. Only today it's been about the same temperature.

Tomorrow, we're supposed to be down to 96 at the highest. We're really hoping it keeps up, because we don't want the cats to overheat while we're gone next week.

And so we worked on Saiyuki Reload 6, and remembered how totally awesome Saiyuki is♥ Actually, last night one of the guys at FHE asked us what we translate, and Saiyuki was the only series he was familiar with. I asked him what he thought of it, and he actually likes it a lot. I'm a little worried now that since I asked, "It wasn't too gay for you?" that I've now planted the thought in his head and it might become more gay in his mind. Hopefully that won't be the case, and hopefully he won't see too much of Homura.

Today I'm thankful for our monitor working all day, delivery people who are willing to endure this crazy heat so we can get our packages, getting to work on Reload 6 some more, being able to expect at least one check in September (as long as we finish Reload 6 before AX--we have a chapter and an extra thingie left), and volcano water.
