Happy Easter!!

We actually don't know what's going on today. Mom called again yesterday... or was it Friday? ...to get a definite answer. She kept pressing me for an answer, which always makes it harder for me to decide, so I refused to confirm or deny anything. That's risky, because if it was just Mom, she would probably say, "Well, you didn't seem interested, so I just assumed you weren't coming." But since Steve is involved (and he tends to take, "I don't think I like this idea," to mean, "Sounds great! I'm in!") then there's really no telling. They could be here to pick us up at any minute. At this point, we're cool either way, though it would be a shame to miss out on free food. Unless they don't have rolls, because then what's the point, really?

Wow, I probably sound very cold and unfeeling. We really do enjoy spending time with people. At least, we think we do. That's why it took us so long to quit Girl Scouts. We wanted to go and have fun with our troop, but then we'd go and be left all alone while the rest of them had fun with each other, and we'd constantly be reminded that we don't fit in. And then we'd go home and play video games to feel better and forget all of it the next week until we went again. It's kind of a similar situation here, only instead of being left out, we get lectured or something. And so, based on past experience, it really probably would be better to stay home. But if they actually come pick us up, we probably won't hesitate to go along with them. Hey, maybe we'll get to play Kingdom Hearts.

So today I'm thankful for the Atonement, candy Easter eggs, having a cup full of candy, kitties that are happy to see us when we get home, and eternal perspective glasses.
