Eee!

I'm pretty excited for today. Not only is there going to be a new Danny Phantom (after a month), which Butch Hartman claims is one of the best ones they've made thus far (he seems to say that about a lot of episodes), but! our home teacher is nice enough to drive us to the movie theater so we can see Doogal! Eeeee!!

I've mentioned Doogal before, but in case some people forgot, it's brought to us by Butch Hartman, and on his forums he said, "Let's make it number one at the box office!" and now we get to help! Even though we're going to a twilight showing. We can't splurge too much; we're still very poor. In fact, it might not be a very good idea to even splurge this much, but dang it! I want to see it!

They were talking about it on the Daily Show last night because Jon Stewart is in it, and Roger Ebert was the guest, and Jon Stewart wanted to know if it was a good sign or a bad sign that they didn't let the critics see it. We're a little concerned ourselves, actually, but from what I've seen of it, it looks like it at least won't be a huge waste of time. And I do trust Butch Hartman. Though he never really said whether or not he thinks it's a good movie, so...

Also, Anime Expo has their registration info up. It looks like they've got a pretty neat system worked out this year, though the way I've been forgetting things lately, I'm afraid I might forget to actually bring our badges. But we're pretty good when it comes to AX organization, so hopefully we didn't just jinx that.

I want to go to the ball!

Doogal was a very cute movie. I think what happened was it was a British movie, but because of too many references to British pop culture or some other reason that I don't know, they had to dub it into American. And Butch Hartman wrote the adaptation. Tadah! There were a lot of really funny jokes, but sometimes the timing on them seemed weird, probably because of it being a dub. And we both thought Jon Stewart did a really good job. And we also both want to go get Happy Meals so we can get Doogal toys. We still have those gift cards we got for Christmas...

Butch Hartman said it was based on a TV series, which I really want to see now, because there were so many scenes that I could see being really awesome if they had had like half an episode.

Danny Phantom tonight was really awesome. Dora was talking for a while when suddenly I realized, "Timmy's Mom...?" which I felt was very fitting for the character, because she also plays Maleficent in Kingdom Hearts. And then Prince Aragon came on, and suddenly it fit even more.

And Ai Yori Aoshi!! They finally got back to the thing we've been wanting to know about for so long! The thing about harem comedies is that they're often lacking in the pretty boy department. This is usually alright if the main guy is voiced by a guy, but still, sometimes it's nice to have another guy. Ai Yori Aoshi sort of had Suzuki and Saito, but they don't really count, and they disappeared after about volume 3. Then it kind of had Ruka, but he really doesn't count either. And then there was the teacher Chizuru fell in love with, but he was only on like two pages and then he went away forever.

But now! Now there's a villain. Not just a rival, like Kentaro in Love Hina. This guy is definitely a villain. And he's so good at it, too! With what he's doing, my reaction is a lot like, "You evil little...! How dare you! Oh, but you're so cute!" It was a lot funnier when we were actually translating, but now I can't remember the exact reaction. He really is adorable. There are a lot of mixed emotions when he's around. Currently, anyway. For the whole half a chapter he was in. Soooo cute♥!!! And evil... And cute♥

Tonight I'm thankful that we got to see Doogal, and that it wasn't too cold afterward when we were waiting for our ride back, and for the awesome new episode of Danny Phantom (Beauty Marked), Kaoru Hanabishi, and Kaoru Hanabishi♥

Oh! And I was finally paying attention when it listed the credits for the opening theme to Kage Kara Mamoru, and the song is called ミリオン・ラブ (Million Love)! And since it's sung by Yuna, that's the most adorable thing ever♥!
