A dark day indeed

If only it was a Dark Day instead. That would be much better.

Butch Hartman announced on his forum today that Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom are both being cancelled. It's not like I didn't know Danny Phantom would end eventually, but it's kind of shocking when it actually happens. On the bright side, the last episode of DP is set to air in February of next year, which means, even if Nick doesn't get a big enough response from the fans, at least it'll be a while before it's over. I mean, man, that's the only show I really look forward to watching.

It really seems like a dumb idea on Nickelodeon's part, cancelling two of their most popular shows. Our theory is that they want to push Avatar more, and they don't want it to be overshadowed by the extreme awesomeness that is Danny Phantom. But that's just a theory; we have no proof, although I have been annoyed at the release of Avatar DVDs.

Fortunately, there's still hope. I mean, Fushigi Yuugi, Saiyuki, and Gundam Seed all had new stuff made after they were cancelled. And, to bring things into a more domestic perspective, apparently Kim Possible had been cancelled at one time, as well. And so Mr. Hartman has asked all his fans, if they want to see more Danny or FOP, to write to Nickelodeon and tell them. And that's exactly what we plan on doing! And for anyone else who wants more Danny and/or FOP, here's the address:
