I'm thankful for Kosuke Niwa, because even though Daisuke is a fictional character, in the world of DN Angel, he wouldn't have turned out the way he did if not for Kosuke's genes.
I'm thankful for Emiko Niwa, for raising such an awesome kid.
I'm thankful for With, for being the most adorablest manga familiar I've ever seen.
I'm thanful for Krad, for distracting all the other fangirls from Daisuke, Dark, and Satoshi.
And I'm happy that we have a new friend on our friends list!
To bring you Ueki no Housoku!
Yes, I'm at it again, because dang it, this show is too good for people to miss! I mean really, how often do you get a fighting tournament with fields like this? In Angelic Layer, it's like, "Ooooh, they're fighting in a forest. Ooooh, they're fighting in a desert. Oooooh, they're fighting on a ship." They got nothing.
In this series, you get fields like the Cossack dance field, where you can only breathe if you're wearing a special hat that only stays on your head if you're doing a Cossack dance. It must have taken a very drunk night of Mario Party to come up with that one, and most of the other fields in this tournament, too, actually.
And that's my plug for Ueki no Housoku. We now return you to your regularly scheduled DN Angel, already in progress.
I'm not really sure how much angst I have right now, but I thought it was a clever title.
I am very sad that we finished volume 11, because now there's no more until volume 12. Unless we got a subscription to Asuka magazine, but I think we decided it's better to get a whole book than one chapter at a time. That, and a subscription to Asuka would be dang expensive. And I'm very much looking forward to volume 12, because it's going to have something I've always wanted to see.
So in the meantime, we'll feed the DN Angel obsession for a while (probably until Monday). Maybe listen to some CD dramas (Hoshi-san really is perfect for Daisuke), and eventually we'll reread the whole series. Ah, but we have so much manga to read. That's probably a good thing, because I don't know how long it will be until we get any more.
