After last week, Mom said we could come over this weekend to play with them, since the kids wouldn't be around and it would be okay to slaughter people. Athena thinks it would be better to team each of us up with one of the kids, and then it would soften the blow for everyone. After further questioning, we found out that it was actually most likely Steve who didn't want to be slaughtered, which is why it's questionable as to whether or not we'll get to play today. As of Tuesday, Mom still remembered, but as of Friday, there was no mention of it. We shall see.
Technically, we could play Disney Trivial Pursuit either way, since we ended up with the earlier version Mom bought two years ago when she somehow got the impression that Steve might know more about Disney than we do. It just doesn't seem like it would be as fun with just the two of us, but hey, we won't know unless we try. Or we'll just watch a movie instead. That's dangerous, though, because if we watch a movie, chances are it'll be Disney, and that would only make us stronger.
We made plans with our anime buddy to go shopping for some new pants tomorrow. This is good, because Hakkai's pair kind of died, as did Ban's and Kadzuki's. We're also going to a t-shirt shop to get a couple of shirts to splice together in an attempt to make Kadzuki's opening sequence outfit. I really hope that works out, because that would be pretty awesome.
So we're gradually getting everything in order for the convention, though we still haven't found someone who can take care of Oreo and Mimsy while we're gone. I thought it would be pretty awesome to bring them with us, and then we could dress as Jinta and Ururu and carry Mimsy around as Yoruichi, but Athena thinks it would be a bad idea. Oreo would really freak out--it might be bad for his health. And of course, taking Mimsy all around the convention, we have no guarantee she wouldn't escape our grasp and run off somewhere. I guess that's what leashes are for, but Yoruichi doesn't wear a leash, and neither do our cats.
Also, five hours in a hot car seems pretty dangerous for kitties. So the quest continues.
Today I'm thankful for Tootsie Roll Pops, piano keys, having plans to buy pants and t-shirts, not currently having to panic about AX preparations, and spiral-bound hymn books.
