But the service was touching. The niece and nephew of the deceased are in our Primary, and they along with their cousins sang the musical number. It was so cute and so sweet, and when everybody sat down I saw the little girl crying, and that's what got me crying. Those poor kids. I know they'll be okay, but this must be such a sad time for them. In our church we believe in the Resurrection and that families can be reunited after death, but it's still hard to say goodbye. I feel like we've been to a fair amount of funerals lately, and they always quote, "The only way to take the grief out of death is to take the love out of life."
We probably could have gotten a ride home from the funeral, but people were all talking to each other, and we didn't want to interrupt or wait around, so we walked home again. After taking a break to catch our breaths...which turned out to be a longer break than expected to also play Splatoon and Minecraft with Grawp, who apparently had a lot of extra Switch time today...we turned around and started walking again, this time to the grocery store. We wore sneakers and socks this time, so it was much better, except for the carrying groceries home part.
We were so tired, we almost slept through some of the Seven Deadly Sins episodes we watched. ...If I'm honest, I don't think it was only the fatigue that did it. Season three feels a lot slower than the first two seasons. It makes me wonder: if the pacing for season three had been the same as seasons one and two, would they have at least defeated Estarossa before it ended? I guess we'll find out next week, when we finally get season four! Woohoo! Gotta switch the audio back to Japanese.
Today I'm thankful for the opportunity to help friends, surviving all our walking (sheesh, it's just walking--why is it so exhausting?), making it all the way through Seven Deadly Sins before the new episodes hit (now we'll actually know what's going on when we start season four!), getting to play Splatoon and do the Bug-Off in Animal Crossing, and it being time to go to sleep soon.
