Well, we're kind of obsessed with French storytelling right now, so of course we had to check it out! And the verdict is...we like it! I'm not sure I have much else to say about it. We've only seen one episode so far, and that was basically the prologue. We look forward to watching more of it.
Mentions of the Gentleman Burglar keep coming up in stuff we translate, and of course we're interested in Lupin's interactions with "Herlock Sholmes," so we've been wanting to read the books for a while, but never enough to remember it when we were thinking about new books. And now we're in the middle of Jules Verne stuff, so. But with all this talk of the books, I should probably mention that the Netflix series is definitely not an adaptation of the books...more like...a sequel? An homage? It has a French subtitle that's something like "In the Shadow of Arsene." Anyway, it's an interesting show, so check it out if you have the time.
I think our only complaint is that, since it's a French show, it doesn't need to be dubbed into French, so odds of hearing our favorite French voice actors are smaller. Ah well.
Today I'm thankful for getting to watch a neat new show, finally getting a recipe for a rose bed in Animal Crossing, getting a better idea of how things work in Splatoon, not completely failing to meet our work quota, and Ghirardelli's creme brulee white chocolate hearts.
