Pancrepes

Today was another typical Sunday, only instead of reading Jules Verne, we took a break from him and read some manga instead! Oh man, it's been a long time since we've read manga for pleasure. ...I'm not sure I have anything else to say about it, though.

We also had adventures in pancake-making. The recipe called for two cups of mix, but we only had a cup and a half left. We figured it would be fine if we reduced the milk proportionally, but it also called for two eggs, and we're not sure how to half an egg, so we thought, "Well, we'll just use two eggs, and have extra eggy pancakes." We did not realize that would make the batter so thin. They were almost like crepes! But not quite. Maybe they were more like pancrepes. They tasted fine, but they were not pretty. The original plan was to take a picture and send it to the family so Grawp would see that we finally made pancakes for dinner, but we were too ashamed...also taking pictures is a hassle.

Today I'm thankful for getting to have pancakes for dinner, getting to read some shoujo manga (Tenshi 1/2 Houteishiki for me, Skip Beat for Athena), also getting to watch plenty of The Repair Shop, the lovely talks that were given at our ward worship service, and finally pulling out our fuzzy Ladybug socks.
