Our sacrament meeting was very short, but enjoyable (there were only five other people there, so don't worry about that). And later, Gaston called and we got to catch up on things. So that was nice, too.
Our original plan was to spend a bunch of time seeing if we could jam on our musical instruments, and maybe get to a point where we sounded good enough to perform something. We ended up having much less time to do that, but it turns out the concept is way too intimidating for us to work on for more than a few minutes anyway. So the time we had was plenty. We didn't immediately give up, though! and as a result, we have come up with an idea that might work, as far as musical pursuits that are not ridiculously intimidating. We'll see if it goes anywhere.
Then we got back to reading In Search of the Castaways, which is thoroughly enjoyable, and we didn't want to stop reading, but we've also been lacking in the sleep department lately, so we forced ourselves to stop, and now here we are, about to go to bed, and hopefully be well-rested before we get back to work tomorrow. If only we could just play Animal Crossing and Melody of Memory...
Today I'm thankful for getting to partake of the sacrament, a lovely ward worship service, getting to chat with Gaston, having some direction for our musical pursuits, and getting to read more Jules Verne.
