After that, our hosts were very gracious and provided lunch! ...But we took it to-go, because we were still fasting. But we had it for dinner tonight and it was pretty tasty. We did stick around and socialize while everyone else ate, and we had a pretty good time. Ironically, I think it's more socialization than we get under non-quarantine circumstances.
We also spent a lot of time just relaxing. We read manga! It was nice. And then we had time to watch a movie, so! we watched A Silent Voice. I feel like we "should" have watched it ages ago, but we don't have time if we're going to watch Miraculous...I mean...movies take a long time to watch, so they're a much bigger commitment, and we have had a lack of time followed by Pokemon.
But the important thing is now we have seen it, and I think most of the world (who has seen it) agrees that it's a pretty great movie. The pacing was just a liiiiittle slow for me, but not to the point of boredom. I was just like, "Okay, I admit, your visuals are stunning, but I would also like to see what happens in this movie, so can we move it along, please?" Of course, thinking back on it, a ton of stuff happens in that movie, and it's only two hours long. It had a lot of great characters, and Miyu Irino did a great job. It was kind of weird to think that that guy is played by the same guy as Sora.
So it's been a really good day. Today I'm thankful for getting to partake of the sacrament and renew my covenants, having a lovely time with friends, getting to enjoy some manga, getting to see A Silent Voice, and just generally having an enjoyable Sunday.
