But! we did make it!! And!!! AND!!!! Now that we've gotten all our work turned in, tomorrow we can reward ourselves with a whole batch of new Miraculous episodes!! I am unbelievably excited about this. We just watched Puppeteer 2 again, and whenever we get to the end of that episode, there's the, "Nnnnnngh, I have to see more!!!!" but this time, it's paired with, "And there will be more tomorrow!!!!" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!
But first, I am reminded that we didn't post yesterday. I think I mentioned that we were going to be at Disneyland, and in fact we were. It was a pretty low-key trip, thankfully, because even though our workload was relatively light this week, we still haven't fully recovered from the entire fatigue of the month...or the month before that...or potentially the month before that, either. But anyway, we mostly went from show to show to show. We saw a lot of performers, and it was pretty neat. And our timing was just right when we got to the Royal Theatre that we were able to say hi to Sir Samuel of Morocco before he went on. We told him we saw him at the Golden Horseshoe the week before. "I mean, we saw your brother..."
It was especially nice because our favorite Mr. Smythe was performing in that show, and Mr. Jones and even Belle did a really good job. It made my eyes tear up, I was so happy about it. After the show, we hung around to talk to Sir Samuel some more. I like to say that now that Farley's retired, we need to make some more musician friends in the park. Gaston's response to that is, "Heck, I'll talk to all of 'em!" Maybe next time we'll say hi to the Bootstrappers.
By the time that was over, we all decided we'd rather just take in a ride or two, go have dinner at the Jazz Kitchen, and head on home. So we went on It's A Small World, where we pointed out to Gaston that the ambient music outside the ride is in a sliiiightly different key than the ride music inside, and we may have ruined the ride for him forever. Or at least until enough people point it out to Disney that they decide to do something about it.
At the Jazz Kitchen, Gaston asked and we discovered that you can, in fact, order a side of chocolate dipping sauce. We took full advantage of this for our french fries, and it was a joyous occasion...although we also came to the conclusion that what they give you at the Express (where we usually go, as opposed to the fancy sit-down area of the restaurant) is not the good stuff. It was still pretty tasty for a while, though.
After dinner, Gaston dropped us off at home and we still had enough time to watch an episode of Miraculous before going to bed. It was a pretty nice day, followed by another pretty nice day except that we had to work. It was fun work, though--Kiss Me at the Stroke of Midnight. It was due today, so we sure are glad we managed to finish it. This month has been a tough one, but I'm glad we made it.
Today I'm thankful for having a nice day watching shows at Disneyland, Kiss Me at the Stroke of Midnight still being kind to us, getting to start in on the chocolate cookies from Costco Steve gave us last month, once again realizing our dream of chocolate covered french fries, and getting to sleep in tomorrow. And of course, new Miraculous!!!!
